ChangeX Burren

March 2014

ChangeX Burren is a project that is being piloted in the Burren area this year. The ultimate aim of this project is to improve wellbeing for all in the region. By introducing a suite of 12 new and exciting social innovations, alongside carefully selecting and supporting local people with the energy, commitment and vision to manage them, ChangeX Burren strives to enable communities to have the freedom and potential to improve their collective wellbeing. This will in turn build a new, positive and empowered community culture, one which will help address some of the challenges that the Burren faces now and into the future.

In order to effectively measure your community’s wellbeing and its progress over time, we are conducting a survey (download below). Your responses will give us an insight into the community’s needs, which will ultimately influence the solutions implemented in your area. To learn more about the proposed solutions, please click here.

If you any further questions regarding ChangeX Burren or the solutions, please feel free to contact jenny@changex.org or call Jenny on 086 8382586. Important:If you agree to participate, please remember that there are no right or wrong answers. We are just interested in your own personal opinions about your community. If there are any questions that you do not want to answer, simply move on to the next one. This survey is completely voluntary, so you can opt out at any time. All of the data collected from this survey is strictly confidential and any results will be used only for ChangeX Burren research purposes. The estimated time for completing this survey is approximately 15 minutes.

Completed surveys can be returned to Jenny Morton at the Burrenbeo Trust building, Glebe Road, Kinvara. This project is supported by ‘The Community Foundation for Ireland.

The Burren is a truly unique place - presenting unique challenges and opportunities. The Burren Community Charter aims to allow the Burren community shape its own future, deciding for itself how best to address these challenges and opportunities.
