Charter Documents

The Burren Community Charter aims to allow the Burren community shape its own future.  Following research and public consultation a draft charter document has been created from the communities’ viewpoint and now needs further comment to take it to the next stage.  This initiative is all about communities taking control of their own destiny and without the active engagement, energy and creative input of local communities, the Burren Community Charter cannot succeed.

The document is divided into two sections.

The first part of the document contains the draft community charter.

The second part of the document is a background document, containing the research and recommendations arising from the public consultationa and earlier reseach process. This document has been updated a number of times as new information became available.
